A native of St. Louis, Missouri, 21 year old Staffan Michael Reed has only recently completed his training at the Project Power Rangers Academy in Angel Grove, California. Son of Rachel and Lewis Reed, he has two older twin brothers and one younger sister, all whom he is close with [storylines available]. Staffan also has an older sister that he lost as a child, though no one quite knows what happened to her. His mother, Rachel, is a registered nurse and has worked all her adult life helping to save the lives of others, focused only on their well being, and often neglecting her own. Lewis, on the other hand, was quite the business entrepreneur. Staffan's family owned several businesses around the city, including a pizza shop where he spent most of his teenage years working behind the counter.
The Reed family was full of financial success, and Staffan had a gifted childhood, but to say he was spoiled would be a complete lie. Taught well from an early age, Staffan learned the values of working hard and creating his own success. Unlike his brothers, but very much like his sister, Staffan enjoyed school, and often times excelled in his classes. His true love for school, however, existed in the varsity soccer team, and in his junior and senior year he was honored with the assistant captain position. He carried that title with pride, filling in for the captain occasionally while helping the younger players to develop their skills on and off the field. Many friends have been made from his four years on the team, and he makes the extra effort to keep in touch with his mates whenever he can.
From a young age, Staffan has always wanted to be an officer of the law, to be able to protect his family. He was set on graduating high school and going straight to the police academy. He made this decision when he was five years old, and for seven more years, he was set on doing just that. He owned many Halloween police costumes and would often dress up as a little kid and arrest his younger sister. When he was twelve, the power ranger ban was lifted. Interested, he found all the info he could on the power rangers, and his interests immediately shifted to going to the academy when he was thirteen. Always wanting to serve the people, Staffan made the decision that he could do more good as a power ranger than a police officer. After graduating high school, he moved away from home to go to Angel Grove and the PPR Academy.
It wasn't the easiest of times at the academy for him, but he made it work, and he's proud that he did. He particularly liked the martial arts class, and his second year solo tactics class caught his interest as well. Because of this, he excelled at both, though he didn't do poorly in the others either. It was a rigorous and long two years at the school, but he was dedicated and determined, refusing to give up. As a result, he completed his training and is now an active ranger, a dream which he has accomplished at just the young age of 21.
Not afraid to take charge when needed, Staffan will take lead over anything he is capable of if need be. He is honest about his feelings and opinions, and in turn, offers unique advice to those that ask. Open-minded, observant and intelligent, Staffan uses these traits in helping to read people better, which makes his leadership role a little bit easier. Not the social king, but he is always available to speak with whenever needed, no matter the person or reason, and will always offer w word of advice or just an ear to listen. Staffan often finds himself with his mother's trait of wanting the best for everyone, and is never afraid to step in and mediate an argument between two individuals. A bit mischievous, Staffan enjoys life for all it's worth, often acting a bit immature, though it's all for fun. He can be serious when the need arises, but sees no point in not enjoying what life has to offer. He can't remember a person he has not gotten along with, or has not found to be interesting, as he strives to see the good in every one.
His biggest flaw is his indecisiveness, whether it be what pair of shoes to wear or which way to attack a foe. Though it can hinder him sometimes, he doesn't encounter it often, as he can usually make up his mind pretty quickly. He is also a bit stubborn on his views and opinions, willing to relent only if a good counter argument can be made.
Staffan is a skilled fighter, having excelled in the physical classes during training. He has always had a knack for being active, playing sports while growing up and in high school. He is a great melee fighter, and prefers hand-to-hand combat over using weapons as he can put his power to work. His increased agility allows him to dodge enemy attacks in close quarter combat, and even makes chasing enemies down an easier task for him. Like his animal spirit, Staffan can change direction in mid run, making his powers great for tracking down people or even escaping potentially dangerous situations
